THEY hugged and they kissed each other when they finally arrived
yesterday afternoon in Senado Square. Rafael Polónia, 35, and Tanya
Ruivo, 30, have accomplished a notable feat, cycling for 19 months to
reach Macau and crossing a 17,519 kilometer path. With their goal
achieved, their happiness evident, they had reason to feel as if they
were in heaven. The couple, who perform theatrical work “when there are
jobs” left the Portuguese city of Ovar on the 26th of September 2010 and
traversed roughly “22 or 23 countries” (they don´t know for sure) in
order to reach their goal and affirm that the much mentioned european
crisis – at least for them – “doesn’t exist, and everything is
possible”. Here’s an excerpt of what they told the reporters who were waiting for them at the Senado Square
